An ancient city full of peril and mystery awaits in the ruins of Sudanya, a lost civilization on the edges of Terrinoth. Horrid creatures haunt the heroes every step, but powerful allies will guide them through the twisting maze of wilderness and broken cityscape.

Fantasy Flight Games is proud to announce Labyrinth of Ruin, an expansion for Descent : Journeys in the Dark Second Edition that introduces an all-new epic campaign, plus new heroes, monsters, classes, and more! Set in a previously unexplored region of Terrinoth, Labyrinth of Ruin takes players on a riveting journey to the broken remains of a forgotten city. Throughout the many quests included in this expansion, heroes will enlist the aid of unique allies in their mission to stop the evil overlord.

The comprehensive campaign in Labyrinth of Ruin features nineteen narratively rich quests. While they can be enjoyed as standalone experiences, these engaging adventures were designed with campaign play in mind, telling the story of an enigmatic sorceresss vile plot to bring darkness to the world; as with the base games campaign, The Shadow Rune, Labyrinth of Ruin uses a clever plot system that reacts to players successes and failures. With each successfully completed quest, either the heroes or the overlord will grow in power…leading up to a gripping showdown in the campaigns finale!

New Heroes, Classes, Overlord Cards, and More!

Whether or not you choose to enjoy its full campaign, Labyrinth of Ruin features content designed to enhance your Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition experience. A new Overlord deck provides an alternative to the core games fifteen basic Overlord cards, while cunning new monsters add their strength to the forces of evil.

The heroes have no plans of sitting idle as the overlord unfolds his vile plot; hero players benefit from the addition of four brave new characters and four versatile new classes. The mighty Beastmaster is a hunter of unparalleled skill, and with his loyal wolf at his side, hes prepared to stalk his prey through any wilderness.

Meanwhile, the avaricious Treasure Hunter may excel at claiming wealth and uncovering relics, but hes more than capable of defending himself and his newfound riches should his situation demand it.

Those drawn to the esoteric ways of magic may prefer the Hexer, a de-buffing class capable of making overlords minions pay for every step they take. With an arsenal of plagues, curses, and other afflictions at his command, the Hexer is a grim reminder of that even the most objectionable forms of magic can be used in the name of good.

Finally, the versatile Apothecary is a walking treasure-trove of elixirs, tonics, and other concoctions. It would be foolish, however, to assume that the Apothecary is a mere peddler of potions; many a foe has made that mistake, only to find themselves choked with poison gas.
